Holiday Island, Arkansas - just a short drive from Eureka Springs.
Hattiesburg, Mississippi - home of Southern Miss University, this unique metro area of about 100,000 people is regularly ranked as one of the top 50 small towns in America. Visit to find out why, and be sure to visit the unique Keg & Barrel brew pub. Learn about Southern Prohibition, which started well before nationwide prohibition.
Starkville, Mississippi - if you leave Hattiesburg and travel to Memphis, take the slow road and visit Meridian (Sherman fought here during the Civil War, Starkville (home of Mississippi State University), Tupelo (Elvis Presley's hometown) and Oxford (home of Ole' Miss).See some of the really deep South....it is realy enchanting.
Boulder City, Nevada - just a short drive from Las Vegas, this town arose during the building of the Boulder Dam (a.k.a. Hoover Dam). Visit the NEW high bridge that takes traffic past the actual dam - the bridge is something to marvel at. Stay a day in Boulder City before moving on to or from Las Vegas.
Cayuga Area, New York state - home to Cornell University and the Finger Lakes Region, this is one of the most beautiful places in the United States.
Terrell, Texas - if you are driving to Dallas arriving from the east, stop for a while in Terrell.
